I have been the counselor at Challenger since the fall of 2006. I taught 8th grade math in Goddard before becoming a counselor. I earned a bachelor degree in mathematics from Fort Hays State University and my masters in counseling at Wichita State University.
My favorite thing about being a school counselor is getting to know the students that I work with and building a relationship with them. Being 10, 11, and 12 can be kind of like riding a roller coaster. The emotions can be up and down. I am happy to help our student wherever they are on that ride.
When I'm not counseling I am spending time with my family. We enjoy biking, walking, and playing pickleball. We also enjoy traveling as much as we can.
